  • Final state summary: Bianca, Adonis, Rocky Jr., Bobby, Drago Sr. I wasn't even tracking Drew Sr., so I'll just make him middle of the pack. But Apollo comes right after, because, I mean, the best I know about him right now is he dead. I'll start with Rocky, because to your point, phones go both ways. And the last, but not the least, is Mrs. Drago. That's my list.

  • Answer qualification: You're welcome to disagree with it, but I'm not going to resort the list now. I'm just saying that this is how I ranked it.

WHAT THEY BROUGHT

Submission

The best parent for sure, Duke Sr. Drago Sr., second best parent. Bianca, Mrs. Adonis, Creed, seven. Six, Creed Sr., five, Rocky Jr., four, Mrs. Apollo, Creed, Marianne. Creed Jr., he's our third worst parent. Rocky Sr. is a horrible parent. And then Mrs. Drago's maybe the worst parent in movie history.

Curt, what do you know about Apollo Creed at this point in Creed 2?

RECORDED ANSWER / CHOICE

Apollo Creed is played by Carl Weathers, it turns out. I think if I understood Creed 3, he is the adopted father of Adonis. I think he mostly sees Apollo as this, you know, just a dad who's always been dead. The only trait I have about Apollo is that he was obviously very stubborn in a way that Adonis is, because it sounds like he was insistent on sticking with the fight, even when Rocky was certain they should have ended it.

The underwater workout, jazzercise or whatever you call it, it did not work out. There is not a shortage of money in his upbringing once he's adopted.

  • Important beats: I gotta tell you though, like going back to Sneha's original point, like I don't think there is any single criticism we could make that is better than they're going to Russia. Why are you in the desert? It does sort of fall flat because it does seem like Adonis is still the one with, other than size, all the advantages.

I'm curious for both of you, calling this an MVP moment, a highlight, does this feel like a really satisfying ending climax of this film?

Or does he see that he's already lost the high society he wants, so no sense losing the son. And we get the bonus bit of them running together at the end of the movie. And I think I think from a fight standpoint, it's not a satisfying climax to the fight. But from like a movie arc standpoint, I thought it was very, for exactly the points that Sneha brought up. He wants his dad's love and he knows it now forever. It's the turning point.

And then Drago ends up working out at the Philadelphia Eagles Stadium in Philly. The city of Philadelphia burns down. Because of their fans.

PREDICTION

Long after his death, the ghost of Apollo Creed speaks to Rocky and guides him to find Adonis. Together, they must solve Apollo's murder and uncover a series of complex financial crimes. The whole thing is a shot-for-shot remake of Patrick Swayze's vehicle, Ghost. There is no boxing.

More of this contribution
  • Answer qualification: He's going to show up on screen as just a regular actor in the scene. He's not going to look special. But only one character, Rocky, can hear him. He can't even see him, but he can hear him.

PREDICTION

One more prediction that I think Rocky will die. I think they thought, let's kill off Rocky and give it to Michael B. Jordan. And then it was such a success that they're like, just forget about it. Let's just bring him back. We're just going to bring him back for Creed 2.
