Context

  • Response context: Roughly half of these we have is particularly in this movie. We haven't really seen them do very much parenting at all. You brought Duke Senior into this? I must have been confused or misheard it because I went on a spiral.

WHAT THEY BROUGHT

Submission

So I give the best parent trophy to Bianca.

More of this contribution
  • Answer qualification: Another round of applause goes to Creed Sr.
  • Final state summary: Bianca, Adonis, Rocky Jr., Bobby, Drago Sr. I wasn't even tracking Drew Sr., so I'll just make him middle of the pack. But Apollo comes right after, because, I mean, the best I know about him right now is he dead. I'll start with Rocky, because to your point, phones go both ways. And the last, but not the least, is Mrs. Drago. That's my list.
  • Human reviewed final list: ordered items: Bianca, Adonis, Rocky jr(Bobby), drago sr, duke sr, Apollo, Rocky, ms drago numeric ranks: UNKNOWN rank direction: not added by review

WHAT THEY BROUGHT

Submission

And my number one was Mrs. Creed.

  • Rules: I'm going purely on Creed 2, what are the parent representation like?
  • Final state summary: So Mrs. Creed is at the top. Then Bianca, Adonis, Drago Sr., Rocky, Mrs. Drago. Dead last is Mrs. Drago. I did not rank Rocky Jr., Creed Sr., or Duke Sr. Because I have no context for them as parents.
  • Answer qualification: You're welcome to disagree with it, but I'm not going to resort the list now. I'm just saying that this is how I ranked it.

WHAT THEY BROUGHT

Submission

The best parent for sure, Duke Sr. Drago Sr., second best parent. Bianca, Mrs. Adonis, Creed, seven. Six, Creed Sr., five, Rocky Jr., four, Mrs. Apollo, Creed, Marianne. Creed Jr., he's our third worst parent. Rocky Sr. is a horrible parent. And then Mrs. Drago's maybe the worst parent in movie history.

Question / challenge

Curt, what do you know about Apollo Creed at this point in Creed 2?

RECORDED ANSWER / CHOICE

Apollo Creed is played by Carl Weathers, it turns out. I think if I understood Creed 3, he is the adopted father of Adonis. I think he mostly sees Apollo as this, you know, just a dad who's always been dead. The only trait I have about Apollo is that he was obviously very stubborn in a way that Adonis is, because it sounds like he was insistent on sticking with the fight, even when Rocky was certain they should have ended it.

Context
More of this contribution
  • Important beats: He's trying to reclaim all the things he lost through his son. I think you guys are projecting stuff. You can't rank people that you have no context for. You're wrong about Rocky Jr., Bobby. He lets his six-year-old kid answer the door and a stranger shows up in South Philly. Were you a parent when you watched it the first time?
