Welcome to Reverse Psychology, the Frasier Rewatch podcast where we go backwards through every episode of the show. Tonight, we're covering Season 10, Episode 7, Bristle While You Work, which originally aired on November 12th in the year of Brad's Bar Mitzvah. Is Frasier going to complete a real multi-part story? We'll find out. I'm your host, Curtis Shack. Joining me as always, it's our resident upside downer. It's Ryan Sansone. Curtis, I am ready to bristle tonight. You've always been quite bristly. Yeah, a bit bristly. Tid bit bristly, Curtis. Also with us today is our lazy absentee employee. It's Bradley Kirkston. Hey, Curtis, it's silly Brad tonight. Are you getting silly Brad? We get silly Brad. All right, let's try a second take of that, please. Okay. Hey, Curtis, today we get serious Brad. Are you very serious? Why are you, why are you doing like- Why are you serious Brad so similar to silly Brad? Great, we'll get one more. All right. Hey, Curtis, tonight you get superhero Brad. He's an older superhero who's down in his luck, but he can still save the day. Weird superhero angle. Are you Michael Keaton-ing this superhero situation? I think he's doing a Logan thing. It's a cross between Michael Keaton and Mystico, Mystique, whatever her name is, from X-Men. Brian, you know how superhero movies are losing a luster in people, even though they're bringing back all the old stars, like Brad's talking about, but nobody wants to go see them? Some real phase five or DCU shit. Sorry, DCEU. Yeah. So thanks for doing that, Brad. Cursing the whole episode.

Lucky Lottery: rewards, risks and mitigation ↗
How this one works
Premise and order
- Curtis asks the three hosts for an unlikely desired event, how they would enjoy it, an unlikely feared event and how they would limit its damage. Actual lottery money is excluded. The questions proceed in snake order; the participant-centered summaries below keep each person’s four answers together. A final vote changes from sequential to simultaneous, with no voting for yourself. The group is recommending one complete good-and-bad scenario to fictional Lady Luck, with the reward going to its named recipient. The owner confirms that Curtis and Ryan vote for Brad and that Brad is the accepted winner. No additional individual vote or numerical score is invented.
Decision
- Choose the whole reward-and-risk scenario for its named host, not a reward to transfer to yourself or only a disliked outcome. The no-self-vote restriction remains when the voting format changes.
Owner-confirmed result
- Curtis and Ryan vote for Brad; Brad claims victory, and the owner confirms that he actually wins. No additional vote or numerical score is inferred.

RECORDED ANSWER / CHOICE
The vote gets confused
Curtis explains that each vote sends the reward and risk to its named host. After the switch to simultaneous voting, Curtis and Ryan audibly vote Brad. Brad makes the I win and champion claims, and the owner confirms the accepted result: Brad wins Lucky Lottery. The surrounding confusion and closing joke remain in the conversation, but they no longer leave the winner unresolved.

- Brad makes the I win and I am the champion claims.

Ryan: Final Table, presidency and a disputed mitigation
Ryan wants to be the American guest panelist on a second season of Final Table. Asked about the show, he praises it and complains about its uncertain continuation. Asked how he would enjoy the role, he wants to redress what he considers unfair treatment of France and Spain in the first season. These are his recollections and opinions. His feared unlikely event is becoming president. For mitigation he first jokes that he would move the Ravens to Seattle, prompting objections that this does not address his fear; after clarification he says he will continue not voting. No actual appointment, show renewal or team move is asserted.
Curtis: physical fan mail, a takedown and ignored metrics
Curtis wants an actual physical fan letter or artwork, distinguishing it from email and social engagement. Asked how he would enjoy it, he says he would appreciate the artwork and file it away, never to lose it or admire it again. His feared outcome is the podcast being removed from Apple and Spotify for copyright infringement after someone discovers it. His comic mitigation is to ignore metrics and notifications. This is a hypothetical fear and joke, not evidence of an actual platform action.
Brad: The Bachelor, playoff frustration and perspective
Brad wants to be The Bachelor with twenty women competing for his attention. Asked how he would enjoy it, he imagines popcorn, lip gloss, dates and talking about himself. His feared outcome is years of strong Ravens regular seasons followed by playoff disappointment. Curtis objects that this is invalid as a newly unlikely fear, referring back to the podcast’s prior choice. Brad initially says never watch sports again, then proposes recognizing that sports are not the whole world. The others challenge how realistic that is. No actual booking or sports result is established.

He was giving some weird energy at first, kind of like a kindergarten teacher, and then he went superhero, and you're like, yeah, even more kindergarten teacher. And then he went old man, disgruntled superhero, which I didn't see coming. Well, you know, I like to keep you guys on your toes. That's what I'm known for. He does the dark, gritty remake of Bluey. Oh, don't you fuck up. Do not fuck up Bluey for me, Bradley. Do not. It's not the only thing I got going good right now. Uh, no, Dad, we don't need you. So Brad, do you want to talk fanny packs? What was... Yeah. Yeah. So fanny packs, or if, uh, you know, if you're being politically correct, hit packs. Were you going to say politically erect? I was. Uh, thank you for, for, uh, pretending like that didn't happen. Politically erect is hilarious. There's a lot of, there's a lot of people that are politically erect, and they hate on some of them girls out there. If you're being politically correct, um, you're supposed to call them hit packs, but I, I'm someone who uses a fanny pack or a hit pack all summer long as a part of my job. I keep all my stuff in there. I give, I give fanny packs to all of my camp counselors and they put all their stuff in there throughout the day. But what is your guys' experience with fanny packs? How do you feel about them? Do you use them often? Do you have a favorite color? I haven't had one since I was a kid, but I will say that, uh, my favorite trivia of fanny pack is that in Britain, fanny has a different meaning. If it's a little more vulgar, and so they call it a bum bag. Yes. And that has now, that has now come to America because I got yelled at by a parent about this last summer, uh, when I call them a fanny pack and that's why you're supposed to call them hip packs now. Wait, wait, this was a British person that got offended? An American person who said that it's no longer accurate to call them fanny packs. Created up nothing. When I'm politically erect, I like to use a fanny pack to, to block that. Cover me up. But only when you're politically erect, not regular erect. Right. Well, I don't go out in public when I'm regular erect. I'm sorry, you, you, you go around with a dick in a fanny pack? A dick in a pack. Yeah. That's where I put all my stuff. A dick in a pack. It's a dick in a pack. Yeah. What do you guys, what do you guys do when you go to political rallies? Is that what you do for all political rallies or only like Democrat or Republican rallies? Or do you have different ones? Oh no, I swing both ways, brother. Okay. Okay, cool. So fanny packs, would you wear them? I mean, I know you said you do Brad for work, but like would you wear them like on vacation? Would you, would you wear them like a regular thing or? I can answer this question. I think you too will agree with me. It was asked to you. Why would I wear a fanny pack? I have pockets. I don't need a fanny pack. Yeah. I mean, I have pockets too, but I think you guys would both agree. Nothing else has worked for me in life so far when it comes to dating women. I might as well just try something new. I like it. I think it makes sense. I think girls, some, some girl out there will date you just because of the fanny pack. And some girl out there will stay with you just because of the fanny pack. A hundred percent. I don't know if you'll want to be with those people, but you know, you've already decided to go with a fanny pack route. So you're fine. Yeah. I mean, but maybe, maybe I can, maybe I can start a new trend. Maybe I can wear the fanny pack on a different part of my body or something, you know? Tell me more. Where would you put it? I could literally wear it on my hip and wear it on the side. Oh, that's the worst. That's the worst of the looks. You can't do that. It's not great. I could wear it as like a headband and then all the stuff's in the back. That might work. I think that could work for you. Yeah, for sure. A headband? It'd be a head pack, Curt. It wouldn't be a headband. So would that be the bag facing behind or on your forehead? Of course it would face behind. You're Guy Fieri-ing it? Does he do that? Does he do that? Oh, you're saying with sunglasses? He does with sunglasses. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's not exactly the same, but we do have similar hair. You do have hair. You both have hair. Yeah. Similar hair. One of you has nice hair. Do you want hair like this? Thank you. No, Curt just gave me the compliment. I think so. I was complimenting Guy Fieri. I think when the viewers listen, they're going to feel like you gave it to me, but it's fine. I think Curtis gave it to you. Yeah, Curtis gave it to me. He gave it to you hard. Very. Only because I was politically a wreck. Super into that head pack. Very begruntily, Curtis agreed with me. You almost said that word, right? It's fine. Should we begruntingly pivot into the episode? Yes, please. Pivot. Pivot. Pivot! Pockets answerer: Ryan

Preserved conversation context only. Context outside the activity. Reviewed full source context: We open with rain clouds over Seattle. At the coffee shop, Fraser tries to find a new housekeeper to replace Daphne. Gil refuses to share his shun. We start at the coffee shop. Obviously, I'm a big fan of the coffee shop. Why are you so mad? Why are you so mad? Well, I'm getting there. In our last episode, I was screamed at, yelled at by Curtis for not being upset enough about not having any coffee shop. And the truth of the matter is, I was very upset, but I got screamed out by my brother for being too loud. So I could not show my anger. And instead, I am going to share my joy because my brother's at work right now. So I could be as loud as I am. Okay? He doesn't pay your rent. You can always be loud. Further alert. Three times we get to go to the coffee shop in this episode. And it is magical. Love the coffee shop. Return to the cafe is what we're calling it. Are you calm now? Can we get into that episode? Yes, thank you. Sorry about that tangent. If you don't want me to jump down your throat again, maybe stop plugging in and unplugging your computer and making a noise. I've just given up on Brad. What are you doing over there? Are you talking to me or Curtis? You, Brad, you. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. It won't happen again. Yes, let's talk about the scene. No one believes you. Scene, scene, scene, scene, not scene. We got another decent episode for Upside Down Sleuth. Then Daphne, I guess, also cleaned the apartment. So she was both like Marty's caretaker and the house cleaner. Yeah, that's like a normal thing, right? A classic one-two punch. Live in housekeeper slash physical therapist. Yeah. That's a wild role. Yeah, I'm sure she got egg well. That's a great point, Brad. What do you think they paid her? Because she clearly puts up with a lot of shit and clearly is doing like two or three jobs. And none of them are easy. So what were they throwing at her to keep her around for that long? Look, we're in the Pacific Northwest in the, you know, mid-90s to early 2000s. I think he paid her a lot of money. I'm going to go with $125,000 a year. Whoa, in 1990s? Yeah. It's like, I don't know the exact figures and I don't really understand how inflation works, but I think it's like $3 million a year. I don't think it's that much, but okay. I was going to say like $450,000, but sure. In the Seattle Bay Area? Oh, yeah. But not back then. Remember Seattle Bay Area wasn't- They used to have a basketball team, Brad. Well, we talk about that in this episode. Spoiler alert. Yeah, I don't know what they paid her, but she was, she had those rosy colored glasses though. She was into the Niles at some point. Hard to tell when that happens, but- So $120,000 in 1993 was $258,000 today. So like- Oh, not as much as I thought. Yeah, but not as much as I thought either. I thought it was $1 million. A lot for Gaffney though. This is 100% a guess. We have no idea if that's actually true. Obviously. I think we can take it as headcanon. I think it's much less. I think she was, you know, fresh off the boat. Probably, probably making like $35, $40,000. You think her V is tied to Frasier? It is. We know that. We know she's not a citizen. Even though you guys lambasted me incorrectly for it. I'm just proud that you used lambasted right. I was going to use it earlier, but then you got, you jumped down Brad's throat, so I don't have a chance. Yeah, please stop jumping in my throat. I'm not jumping in your throat. It wasn't what I said. It just wasn't what I said. As always, it's really hard to predict when Gil's going to show up. Well, yeah, you would think a co-worker of that would be on there more. Maybe. Yeah, but no, just randomly and out of nowhere. I think it's pretty clear at this point in the upside down that the co-workers at KACL are showing up intermittently. There is no cadence to it. There's no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes they show up in episodes where it doesn't even make sense for them to be there. Sometimes they're not there in episodes where it makes sense for them to be there. No rhyme or reason. It's funny you say that. What I was thinking is they really bring them in when they think of a funny joke to use them for. That's about it. It does not feel storyline dependent. It seems more like, oh, we thought of this funny joke. Let's just do it. I think Gil is the probably eighth main at this point, right behind Kenny. But I think him and Kenny are even getting close in minutes. Would you say Gil's been in more than Noel? I feel like every time Gil shows up, Noel shows up. Yeah, no, Gil's been in more than Noel. Definitely more than Noel, yeah. I guess this episode is a nice handful. At the start of this series, I would have guessed Noel was used more. But yeah, Gil's definitely got just sure minutes wise. This is not a spoiler, but I'm very curious to see each season if you feel the same way or if that answer has changed. I do too. I assume that these guys have nothing to do, so they'll be there the whole way through. And it's just, it's going to be a weird amount no matter what. I will say one of the three people you just mentioned is not there the whole entire time, but the other two are. That's all I'll say. Oh, fun. That's fun. I genuinely don't know which one you're referring to. That's good. But I'm 100%. I know. Yeah, I'm right. Okay. Yeah, I mean, I do believe you just watched it. Nobody doubted that. Weird if you were wrong. This is another example of this season where they have weird matchups. Like, you know, Gil versus Frazier in this first scene. Yeah, I mean, they do work together, so it's not like so crazy that they would have a weird relationship. Well, we've seen it with Kenny too this season a couple of times where it's just like, they come in for these like weird sparring matches out of nowhere. It's never really like the matchup I would pick. Or Roz, they've used it a lot in the season as well. They didn't do much of that in season 11, but season 10, it's like, you know, every three or four episodes. Based on this first scene, did you think we were ever going to get to the like storyline that we've been following for the last two episodes? Um, did Niles show up in this scene? I think we did. No. In this scene, no. No, we didn't. You're right, Brad. I didn't think about that. But from the upside-down perspective, I could see starting this episode and being wary that it was just going to not address what we just dealt with. You're right. In this scene, I was like, oh, maybe we are skipping one. Maybe he's already in the hospital. Can you imagine if Niles was already in the hospital and Frasier's plowing ahead with trying to find a housekeeper? Well, would it surprise you? No. I'm just saying, what a dick. Yeah, right. Dick in a pack. Yada, yada. That's how you deal with grief. Yeah, whatever. Focus on what you can control. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Marty was too normal, so we knew that couldn't be the case. He wasn't in the scene though, so whatever. No. But Niles isn't in the next scene either. So there was reason to think like, okay, by scene three, maybe this is a Niles episode and then he's right there, so. I wish they would have done it. I just would like to see these characters with a little more breathing space. We kind of complained about it with the Julia storyline that she would kind of disappear for a while and there would be, you know, a story arcs that seemed to come and go as they pleased. But somehow the fact that they actually did this as three straight episodes that are all connected, somewhat disappointing. I'm accustomed to it. Yeah, right. The housekeeper interviews are not going well. Marty takes a liking to Trish because she likes the Sonics. Frasier finds her unreliable, but hires her due to Marty's guilt trip across his stations. Ryan, wasn't the Supersonics such a cool team? Such a cool team. Great colors. Yeah, great colors. Oh, God. I was a big Sonics guy. Couldn't beat Vince Carter that was in the life. No, we find that out. And the actress, Trish, do you want me to say it now, Curtis? I would love for you to say it now. Brad, you can pronounce his last name right. You can do it. Is it Nervosa? Trish is played by American actress, SNL alumni, and a bunch of terrible sitcom alumni. Like Anna Gasteyer. Anna Gasteyer. You got there eventually. She's a witch in Marvel. She's a witch in Marvel. What? She's a witch. I think so. Isn't she Agnes? I don't know what you're talking about. You're thinking of Catherine Hahn. Are those different? Are those people different? Incredibly different. I think also like 15 years apart, maybe more. I've never seen them in the same room together. I don't know. Not the same person at all. I've been given one of the two of them too much credit. How do you guys feel about the joke that they did many times in this scene and throughout the episode? The whole 12th of never, second I lose my mind. How do you guys feel about those jokes? Part about that, I didn't mind them saying it. Okay. It was mildly amusing. What bothered me a little bit is that I know there are magic sound physics in Frasier's apartment, but literally he closes the door and as soon as the door shuts, he screams that he's rejected the person. Like they're hearing that. For sure. It is something I would actually do that and not think about it because I do believe that sound doesn't travel, but I would get in trouble for that. Somehow Frasier always gets away with raising his voice and saying something mean and no one ever hears it. Why do you guys assume she didn't hear it? Well, I'm saying I think she did. Oh, you think she did? If she was in the apartment and they were in another room, sure, you can assume she didn't hear it, but right outside the door, I'm sure she heard it. Well, I guess you're right because if she heard it, we all know Trish would not have cared. It would not have changed her opinion at all. What's she going to do? Plow back in? No. Yeah. This wasn't Trish for the first bit though, right? Is that like older lady? It was. Yeah. The first one was older lady. Yeah. So maybe she didn't hear it just because of her bad hearing. I don't know. The most fascinating part of this scene to me though is when Daphne sort of reveals the work she did as a housekeeper for Frasier and Marty. Literally, this is a woman who surreptitiously replaced Marty's underwear over time. What? Brad, would you have ever noticed? No, no, not even a little bit. Courtney might do that for me. I don't even know. And here's the thing. If someone's like, I'm secretly switching out your underwear, I'd be like, thank you. Like, you don't need to tell me. Ryan, I think it is possible that Courtney, I think it's possible she's throwing out the bad ones. I'm confident she's not buying replacements. And here's how I know. Every time you go on a trip anywhere ever, you forget to pack underwear and you have to buy new ones while you're away. Yeah. Yeah. Since COVID, we don't travel. Well, have they been wearing thinner than they used to? They have. They have. I had to buy some at one point. I tried to get the nice ones. And for the first two days, they're amazing. And by the third wear, they're useless. You know what's worse? And we're definitely going up on a tangent now. You know what's worse than forgetting underwear? Forgetting socks. Forgetting socks is real tough. Why? You don't even wear socks, Brad. But I know. I forgot socks on a trip and it wasn't somewhere I could wear sandals because it was a work trip. Like I forgot all toys. Regular socks, dress socks, everything. So I basically just had to wear a dress shirt without any socks on. Did you just skip that drawer? It was one of those things that I thought I was fine. And then like I'm looking through my bag like these socks got to be here somewhere. They were not. And I went by myself. So I couldn't like ask a buddy for a pair of socks. Like ask a buddy for a pair of socks. If I was on a trip with you and you said, can I borrow some socks? I would tell you to go to Walmart. I'm not sharing my socks. If I did give them to you, they would be yours from that point on. Your feet are disgusting. That's true. A, what I should have said is stolen a pair of socks from somebody. And two, my feet are disgusting. There's no denying that. Isn't this one of those things? Usually you can just go down to the like hotel lobby and just say, hey, can I have some socks or hawks? So this was like a year, year and a half after COVID when a lot of places like weren't opening normal hours and stuff. So it was one of those situations that they had a store. It just wasn't opened in the front. I think you could have found a Walmart pretty excessively though. I was in a really po' dunk town. Where was that? I'm sorry. That's what I said. Walmart, bro. Was it Boston? No, it was Springfield. Dollar General still has you. If Walmart doesn't have you, DG's got you. Great. Good to know for future trips. Sorry. Back to the episode. Also, just use your phone. Like what? Oh, cell phones weren't around then. What I thought you were going to say, Curtis, my favorite part of the scene is when they talk about some of the housekeepers they said no to and they caught the one from Jeepers Sweepers, which sounds such like a good business idea. You would like that one. It sounds like some of the Queen's Jeeps. I can see that. What if they did houses and Jeeps? No other types of cars. Just Jeep. Love it. That is definitely the kind of business idea we would pitch. Yes. Love that. Love that for everyone. We do houses and Jeeps made after 1997. No, you have to be like, oh, we'll do houses. We'll do apartments. We'll do hotel lobbies. We'll do any kind of building and exclusively Jeeps. I'm in. Count me in. Another great moment I thought with Daphne was. Well, I was right about Daphne. Doesn't that count for anything? You didn't even want to hire her. You thought she might steal. Did you really say that? Of course not. I don't remember. I did love that Frasier line. Did you hate all the basketball talk or did you not know what was happening? Oh, whenever I hear basketball talk, it just sounds like that Charlie Brown adult voice. I assume you might not even know we're talking basketball. Well, before even that, Curtis, you're telling me you don't like the name Seattle Supersonics? Like, that's such a cool name. San Diego Supersonics. Superchargers. One, the Chargers don't even play in San Diego anymore. Two, Seattle does not even have a basketball team anymore. They're now in Oklahoma City. So we're just 0 for 2. I understand soon the Ravens are going to be as bad as the Browns or something. That's right. That's right. Brad took that on. And then they're going to move to Seattle. They already have a couple of these. Wait, wait. If the Ravens genuinely did move to Seattle, would you move to Seattle? Would that finally get you out of Baltimore? No, absolutely not. If a team leaves the city, they're done. The courts left Baltimore. What if they moved to a pool down like Indianapolis? Oh, God. It's still embarrassing that we lost a team to Indianapolis. I don't want to talk about it. Right? Indiana? What a loss. We almost lost the Orioles to Nashville like 15 years ago. Oh, they'd be fun there. Yeah. So, Ryan, would you watch a Sonics game against Fitzgarten? Of course. In 2003? Was it? Was it? Were we Durant? First off, Kevin Durant is our age, so he would have been 13. So, no. Oh, shit. Is he really? Yes. Oh, he was not playing in the NBA in 2002. I was 100% like, is he in 2003 or 2004? He was much younger than LeBron, and LeBron was Durant in 2003. Oh, shit. No, he was in 2008. Correct, Kevin Durant. I know. That's because I was- Okay, it wasn't that far off. You're being dramatic. He literally graduated high school the same year as us. Okay, but like, that's- it sounds embarrassing, but it's not that far off years-wise. Especially when you consider how long ago it was. Transition? Transition. I said that so desperately. You know the worst part about editing this is gonna be? It's like he used to go to foreign language. I don't know what's funny. I don't know what's worth keeping or losing. They're all gonna stay or it's all gonna go. Miles has a toothache and explains to Roz that it may be referred pain coming from his heart. It is a 1 in 10,000 chance, but he quickly meets those odds by winning a fanny pack. I'm sorry, a hip bag? Hip pack. Hip pack. Hip pack. Hip pack. Man, what an episode for as an upside downer. If we're watching the other way around, I think very few people would watch this scene and think the punchline at the end is gonna be, yep, Niles is gonna go to the hospital. But you know that's what's happening. So we have someone new. So Brad, what were you thinking when the toothache stuff starts? Okay, that's hard for me because I remembered every detail of this episode. It's, I'll talk about it more then, but this is actually one of my favorite episodes. So I knew exactly what was gonna happen the whole time to the fact that on the last episode, I had a really hard time not saying things. I'm sure. Yeah. So I really liked this episode and I knew exactly what was happening the whole entire time. So it's hard for me to really say. Wait, what do you mean you knew the whole time what was happening? Like when I was watching it, I knew like it wasn't, nothing was a surprise to me. He's saying that he can't go back to young kid Brad who watched this. He just remembers the most recent rewatch. He remembered young kid Brad. So there was no surprise for him either. So as you, as you watched through for your rewatch, you remembered this episode in particular. That's what he just said. That's what I just said. Thank you. I'm saying, I'm saying, but not for this, not for the podcast. Like when you were doing it last year, you remembered every beat of the, I didn't realize you watched Frasier as a kid, actually. That's wild. I'm the same. I'm in the same boat as Brad here. But I do, I remember enough that I do feel like it was quite shocking, the ending episode. Like it was a big surprise to find out this show is actually going to give some serious health issue to one of the main characters. I watched it as a kid. And also when I rewatched it last year, it wasn't even the first time I rewatched the show. I think I've watched it through two or three times. What? What? Yeah. Did you know this, Curtis? Well, you have to understand, he's done many podcasts over the years. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you, Curtis, for the support. You're a rival Frasier podcast. Yeah. I'm on, what was the one name that we liked? I don't even remember. I don't even know what the joke's going to be. So just to go or be. I always do. Okay. So cool. Then I guess I can just talk about my experience going throughout. Thank you. Yes. I guess. I'm surprised. The whole show is more. Well, yeah, but I would have loved to have heard like what you thought watching it live. Right. Because like that's such a, because this seems like such a throwaway joke. If you don't know what's going to happen and then knowing what's going to happen is like, oh, this actually makes the episode really interesting. And kind of dark. I thought. I also think when you like for Curtis and I, we watched it the regular way and you've seen 10 seasons of Niles and stuff, it may not be as surprising as someone who's only seeing it from a second season perspective. I feel like when you watch it the regular way around, it's your first time being exposed to this episode. The whole episode feels like, oh, classic Niles being erotic, a little bit crazy. It's like goofy and fun and you're laughing sort of at his bewilderment. I mean, that's on the laugh track too, right? Absolutely. It is clearly slapsticky and like it's almost hack. But when I watched it this time, it truly felt dark. Like it didn't feel funny. It felt a little horrifying. This scene I thought felt dark. And then I thought it was, it was too much even in the late, like, I don't think you had to keep piling on the, the one in a million chances or whatever. If you just did it the once and really set that weird seed here, I thought that would have been so fun. Especially because I have been blamed on the show for making it, uh, making the show sad and dark with some of my comments. Uh, I was thinking the whole time, like, how am I not going to ruin this episode? Cause it's real easy to do that. I mean, I really do feel like it's like, but when you watch it the first time, you're like, oh, not you Ryan. Cause you already know what's going to happen. But if you're watching the first time you're, you're watching this and again, it's, it's light, it's funny. It's goofy. It's Niles being erotic. When you watch it, knowing the outcome, it kind of feels like I feel the way Niles does. Like I'm feeling his anxiety. Cause I'm, I know like he makes some comments about, yeah, yeah. I got to go to the doctor. I got to go to the doctor. It's like, go to the doctor now. Yeah. It makes it much more serious for sure. The jokes are much darker. Uh, this, so I thought it was real at first. I was like, oh, he has a toothache and then he's going to have a heart issue. Like, man, what a bad week for Niles. And then it was like, oh no, they're just setting up this whole thing. The other little bit of a kind of random champs, unlikely stakes that we get is when the black couple is named Niles and Daphne. Oh my God. That was fun. That was fun. That was a throwaway joke. Such a throwaway joke. But it's so great. Well, so cause we, cause we knew what was happening. I thought he had started hallucinating right there. Honestly, that would explain more of the episode than what we get. Yeah. True. Ryan, have you ever had referred pain or ever, or knew if that was a real thing or not? Well, when I sit across from the table from you, I got a pain in my ass. Boom, boom, boom. No. Is that the sound you're asking me? Uh, Curtis, can you please replace that with a real drum roll and not me attempting to do one? No. Do they get rid of cap prizes? Is that still a thing? I don't really buy like twisty caps anymore. I so miss cap prizes or like instant prizes. I I'm so tired of like, go to our website, sign up for it and log in with a code and maybe get something. Like I miss when you just hand somebody a piece of plastic cap and they give you a Big Mac or whatever. Please. If you're a company that wants to bring that back, Curtis will be your spokesman. Just make sure your food doesn't have too much flavor. Yes. That's a given. You don't need to remind them. There was a grocery store near me had this Monopoly game where for every like $5, they give you like a ticket with like a Monopoly scratcher. It was this ridiculous game and you rarely want anything of significance, but you'd get like a free bottle of water and get like a half price turkey or whatever. There are bigger prices, but I never won them. But it was kind of fun to collect the things and do it. But then a couple of years ago, it was all app based. You would get like points in an app and I just didn't even play. I just didn't even care. It's no fun. I like the idea for you that a half price turkey is like the biggest win you could have. Oh, it was like million dollar prize. And then there was like a Lamborghini prize. And then there was like the big one, which was the half price. A half price turkey, guys. I tell you what. Never seen anything so sweet. I actually I won the million, but I said actually get a huge exchange for this. That's the Curtis we've grown to know. We get a first title card in street jargon. He is known as the Mar. On the first day tour, Trish shows little interest in cleaning and plans to leave early for a drunk lunch. Marty tries his guilt trip on her, but she is immune. Niles continues to experience statistically improbable situations. Other than the fact that Marty has friends, there's not actually that much to take from the scene. Who in the world are his friends? Like, that's what I wanted to know. We're like, I wanted to hear who who chilled with him that night. I didn't care. Really? It's interesting. I mean, it's it's a pretty crazy character note for him. He doesn't seem like a man that has friends. He later hangs out with Kenny Powers at the bar because he's out of things to do. I think he hangs out with Kenny because Kenny wants to hang out with him, not because he wants to hang out with Kenny. But he could say no. OK, but unlike even though you think he's a monster, he's actually not that mean. He's not going to say no to somebody who wants to hang with him. Well, unless it's his sons. The other thing I want to say about this scene is I watched the scene of that I should take Niles to the casino. This is the luckiest man ever, ignoring the fact that I knew he was going to have a heart event in a couple of scenes. But besides that, I was thinking to myself, oh, he'd be great in the casino right now. Oh, speaking of Marty being useless, could you imagine trying to grab a fake deck and then grabbing a real deck and going just straight up for the world's worst card trick? Oh, my God. That was that was just great. What should dump card trick? It was so stupid. And his patter was horrible. And then the trick was the worst trick of mankind. I know you hate Marty at all. This is why this is the justification wise. All the things he says and does. The actor played it off very well in the scene. I was very impressed. I thought he did a good job. I think he actually gets a little stronger even in the back half of the episode. But I did like his line. I did love the there's nothing to forgive son as Frasier's walking out. Yes, to try to cover up how bad Trish is. Yes. But he was just giving an accurate statement. Sometimes you get a setup scene where it's just exposition telling us what the story is going to be about. This is like a version of that. Like we already know the setup, but this is just like establishing Trish is unreliable. Niles is definitely like this is what he's going through. It's just kind of continuing the ongoing plot. It doesn't really add any meat to the bone. I mean, correct. Like this is the fourth scene of a nine episode, a nine scene episode. So, yeah, you're always going to have some scenes like this. Speaking of that, adding meat to the bone. Don't even start with me, Curt. I saw the stupid dog. Oh, good. Don't even start. If you if you would have missed the dog in this scene, I would have been like, come on, buddy. Come on, man. You're really not paying attention. I kind of wish I played it the other way. I was just like, what? What do you mean? Ryan came in too strong. You could have. I'm not. Yeah, I'm not messing around. I'm not messing around tonight, Curt. Yeah, this is this is serious. Sansone. OK, serious. Sansone and superhero old man Brad or whatever he was before. Superhero Brad, who happens to be an old man now. And Curtis was there, too. Panicked about his family medical history of heart trouble. Niles continues to seek counsel from Roz, who is reliably at the coffee shop and nowhere else. I love that Roz is basically just an employee of the coffee shop now. It's really great. Like, I think they put her at a different table each time just to change it up. She was in three scenes and all three scenes were in the coffee shop, right? And all three scenes were just her counseling Niles, just discussing his issue. Which that part was weird. They don't we don't have a ton of Roz, Niles. And this is this is a lot of it. Well, and usually they're fighting with each other. They're not getting along. And in this episode, they're like friendly. You could have given one of these scenes to Daphne, right? You could have given a moment for him. And we'll talk more about it in the next scene. But we could have given a moment for their marriage where he talks to her about his concerns and she like supports him through it. But like classic Niles, he prefers to just hide things from her and lie. Yeah, this is really more season 11 Niles. Season 10 Niles was a little more into Daph. You know, like maybe recently married. He's weird. I don't know. Doesn't make a ton of sense. When we were watching this one, I'm just like, man, this is some wild humor. Because like I have to assume a normal person watching this is going, this is kind of dumb. This is going to end with just the show ending. And then it's like, no, actually, he's got a heart thing going on. All of this. All of his panic is very, very real. Yeah. The other thing that's interesting about this scene, knowing the outcome. Roz is complete indifference. Like she she's not just like telling him like, hey, man, like calm down. Like don't panic. Like she's mocking him openly. She's giving him no credit. There's a world where this is their last interaction. Wait, do you think that's why she is at the hospital the whole time? Because she feels it's possible? Oh, yeah. That would make sense. Yes. That is 100% why. This is why you do it upside down. This is why you watch it goes backwards. Yes. They don't talk about it or bring it up or really allude to it in any other way. But sure. Let's go with that. Because it's implied. It's implied, Brad. Yeah. I agree with you guys. I'm on I'm on Team Sansone. Team Sheckerman. What do you think? Team Sheckerman. What do you think he would do with two fanny backs? One for each hip? Oh, man. The options are limitless. He could have a front and back headband. Oh. His reaction to that is literally I thought like someone died. It was so great. It's so. Somebody is going to. Too soon. It was so. Once again, as in the upside down, it's like, oh, this isn't just a hack bit. It is kind of. But it isn't. Like we really are setting up the actual thing, which is for a sitcom wild. Makes me think Niles might actually be a good doctor. Well, you can still be panicked about your own situation and be a bad doctor. Well, he was right. That's the difference. Marty has taken over the cleaning duties for Trish, who is AWOL. Love this scene. Love Marty getting worked. Yeah. So, so, yeah. What is your opinion of the scene? Are you like happy? Marty's working. Do you feel like he's a bad person? Okay. Yes. Yes. Terrible judge of character. He's paying for it. This is really the only time we see Marty pay for anything. You know, good. So you're happy he's getting what you feel like is. His proper comeuppance. It really. This isn't the normal setup for Frasier either. No, not even a little bit. Normally, Frasier would be would be eating that shit pie. Yeah. And says Marty, it's hilarious. It's a tasty shit pie. I'm not going to lie. I cannot deny. Keep going. Keep going. Got to eat that shit pie. Here's what I don't get. We get like Frasier like coming up with new things for Trish to do. And we find out also that it's daily. Like she's coming in every day of the week. It is not a once a week or once a month deal. How messy are Frasier and Marty that they need this much care in their, in their house? She's the housekeeper. She's got to keep the house every day. Yeah. But why is Marty have to do so much cleaning to make up for their, I mean, they're not very mobile people. Well, that I can't explain. They did do the first setup, right? Right. They're like, oh, Marty happened to have friends for one day and they all came over and smoked cigars in the apartment, which I'm sure Frasier handled very well. Kind of think we should have saw that on camera, but whatever. Now it's just a Tuesday. And then you need to clean it. Yeah. The rest of it makes no sense.

Reviewed full source context: Niles, facing his fear of impending debt, chooses to express his unyielding love to Daphne, to himself, in his head. My God, was this a weird scene. Why am I supposed to believe that they own a bird, but they also have to change the bird's birdcage? That makes no sense. Well, because they don't have a trich. But they do. We, we meet her later. She gets fired later, but we know that they have a housekeeper. Yeah, this is pre them hiring her. They're still in transition. You're telling me that they just happen to not have a housekeeper this, for any stretch of time? I don't believe that for a second. But that's a well-kept house and neither one of them can do it. We know Daphne can. No, we know she can rotate out the, his underwear. That's about it. So you're saying the reason they need so much attention to Frasier's apartment, the reason they need to hire somebody so quickly and really put them to work and they've got so many projects for that cleaning person to do is because Daphne was so bad at her job that it's just been piling up for years? No, Daphne was there to steal Frasier's shit. She wasn't there to clean. It is canon. Also, why do we never hear the bird? It's a quiet bird. There's no such thing. No such thing. Coming from the upside down, I do not remember the bird. I don't know what the bird is about. I am excited to find out the origin of this bird because Niles doesn't exactly strike me as a bird man. And I don't know about Daphne and birds, but it feels like an odd, an odd choice. Maybe Gert brought it into the home. I don't know where this bird came from, but I'm excited to find out the origin. Because Daphne implied that Niles should be cleaning it, which means it's probably not Gertrude's bird. It's not Gertie's birdie. I'm going to say Niles was really into a bird, like a bird shell, which is definitely a thing. And you know, he overbid on a bird and then had to pretend like he liked it the rest of time. Okay. I buy that. Guess we'll find out. Next time. Not next time. Season 10, episode 7. This episode 7. Shit. Shit. You will not find out next time. Don't spoil. I know you're excited for next episode, but don't spoil it. You did such a good job with this one. Morty pretends Trish is upset and has locked herself in a room. Fraser buys this. However, the caper is foiled when Trish shows up at the front door looking for her paycheck.

This is one. This is my favorite Marty episode. Uh, again, we're still nowhere near the top of like, he's nowhere near anyone else. As far as like fun moments. Will you at least be willing to admit you like season 10 Marty better than season 11 Marty? Yes. Okay. That's fine. That is progress. He's trending up as, as we get closer to the start of the season. He is trending up again. He's still by far the worst character other than Eddie. I think Marty absolutely gets his best moment that we've seen so far here. Yeah. This, this is leaps and bounds Marty's best scene. And maybe it's the, maybe it's that powder room bump. I don't know, man. Frasier's best scene is when he almost killed his dad coming out of the powder room. The whole thing is great. I love when he's complaining that, uh, Frasier's a bastard or whatever. But the, the best moment for me is when he gets caught. Trish shows up. They know she's not in the bathroom. And without quite giving the game away, he tries to keep it going and just looks in the bathroom and says, you didn't tell me you have a sister. Yeah, that was great. I actually think the, the general humor is pretty good too. Even though it's Marty getting his come up with some girl love it anyway. Like it's not quite the typical farce that we see out of him, but it is a fun thing they're doing where Marty's, you know, acting like the housekeeper and getting offended. He's got a lot of good lines around that. Especially for you being an upside down, especially watching in the order we do. This is not the most funniest of episodes, but this is the funny scene in a pretty somber episode all in all. It's only somber because we know it's going to happen though. Yeah, but we, we had that thinking going in the whole entire time is my point. Also a counterpoint. We know it's going to be fine. So like, it's, it's not that somber. It's more like surreal, if anything. Like it's, it's a really weird humor you're seeing knowing that a real thing's going to happen, but he'll really get through it. To the point that there was no outward signs that it had happened. Yeah. Yeah. It's wild. There was one episode post-hospital where he had lingering effects and then Marty cured him and c'est la vie. It's almost like the fever dream that is that last episode. Like it's just, it's fine. I don't have to like sit in the dark being like, oh no, is he going to die? Like it's fine. So I think it is a funny episode. So, uh, you know, you're wrong, Brad. I think it's a funny scene. It's definitely a funny scene. For sure. For sure. And even, uh, even Agnes or whatever her name is. No one knows her for real. Trish. She, uh, she's funny, you know, just pay me for all those days I missed. Isn't Agnes Ros's daughter's name? No, Alice. She's not, she's not on the show. So who knows? Alice. You're right. Alice. But you're right. She's not on the show. A doctor informs Niles that he really does have a heart thing and it is serious. Man, this is weird in the fact that it's, the timing is so short. Yeah. It is a quick scene. You just get punched and then they leave. Yeah. I wouldn't call this a three episode arc. It's more like a two and one quarter episode arc. Right. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there's no reason to think that it's real until literally like seconds to go in the actual episode. But I would argue that this is sometimes the best way to get these types of multi arcs. Like it's fun when you think you're in a standalone episode and then get punched at the end with nope. Tune in next week. Like that's a fun bit of business. That is true. I will. Yeah. I agree. Again, if this was episode 22 or something, right? Like you're like, oh shit, Niles would die. That'd be a real thought you could have. I also think that's how TV is now. I don't know if TV was really like that back then. I don't think they were putting as much hype on season finales as they do now and season premieres. That's just wrong. It's just incorrect. They're not going to kill a main character in episode eight. That would be weird. Ryan, you've made this point all last episode about how like the stakes of that episode would have felt greater if it was closer to like a sweeps week or a finale. But the counterpoint to that is that the hit you get in like what feels like a midseason nothing episode when it turns into like an impactful moment. I feel like that hits so much more because you're not expecting it. Whoa. Curtis, correct me if I'm wrong. Don't they do November sweeps? It wasn't this episode of November? Uh, no, this was November 12th. Great. Yes. I'm pretty sure there's November sweeps every year. Okay. Fair point. Okay. That's interesting. Even if it sweeps in November, I don't think you are necessarily going to be envisioning that this goofy storyline will result in an actual heart condition. This scene would have to be at least twice as long and you can't do the scrambled egg scene if you're going to kill him. Do you still follow the weird guy that made his own version of Frasier? The Rod-centric Frasier and all that? Or a John B? Yeah. If I follow, you mean I'm aware he exists. Yes. But I don't think he's been active for years. You also tweet him every night. Yeah. That's what I figured. I wonder if he made a version of Frasier where Niles dies. This storyline continues and Niles just dies. I don't think he did. He didn't do alt realities. He did. Oh, okay. He yes-anded. He didn't. Do you think you could ask him? He didn't know about him. Curtis, since you talk to him daily, could you ask him to do a version? He's out of a business now and he really doesn't like to be harassed by his fans. Could you just ask? No, no, no. Not fans. Fan. Fan. I'm a fan. There's at least two. I didn't know how to yes-and you in this, Brad. I'm sorry. I'm not a John B. Just tweet him. Frasier plays this out with the doctor talking Niles through it. Niles freaks out when offered another potentially fanny pack winning bottle of water. There has not been many scrambled eggs that really just continue this last scene. So that was kind of interesting. I know. Yeah. That's not true. There was that stupid Frasier one where we saw the headshots and no one understood it at the restaurant. Yeah. I didn't say this was the first one. I said we haven't had many. Which is true. Yeah. It is true. Do you guys ever get your heart checked out and then go meet the doctor in his actual office? That was weird, right? Oh. In TV shows, people are always talking to their doctor in their doctor's office. And I'm very curious if like when you have serious things, is that what happens? Because I've never, ever, ever been in a room with a desk talking to a doctor. Yeah. I don't know if doctors have those offices. Okay. I did used to go to a doctor who used to do that. He would have you meet in his office, but it was never anything bad. It would be very funny if you met in your office. He had a small office. So it was like one person was in the room. One person would meet with him, which that made sense to me because it was such a small office. Brad, that cleared up nothing. Thank you. I'm torn between kind of wanting to have that TV experience of talking to a doctor in a room and not wanting to die. I mean, yeah, you're never going to have that conversation. You'd be like, you know what, Curtis? Your heart works better than everyone else's heart. You know it's bad if you're like, come into my office. Hey, come into my office with a desk. So we're all going to assume if he opened up that water bottle, he would have won a third fanny pack, right? Like we're all thinking that. His reaction in this scene is because he knows he is maxed out on space for panic acts. This again, I don't want to hit it too hard, but like, you know, with his crazy eye reactions that he's not going to actually die. Otherwise, this seems even weirder. And I wonder if that's actually intentional. Like they could have broken format and just not had a... Oh my God. If it would have just been like black. But I feel like that would signal something dark. And I think they actually wanted to reassure you that Niles wasn't going to die here. They wanted to undercut some of the drama because it's a sitcom. Which then like, why do it? Like go all in or don't? Like if you just end like it just quiet, like Fraser doesn't even do his scrambled egg thing. Oh my God, that would have been so good. Yeah, but then think about it. If he survives without any real repercussions, does that undercut the drama of this? Next up is mockers. Like you might think going into that one that he's going to die. Yeah. Yeah, they should have done it. It's definitely better than a water bottle bit. Tell you that. Tell you that for free. I got huge for you. You're giving all of this away for free. I'll tell you that one definitely for free.

Activity request: Brad, did you like this episode? Competition adjudication competition established: False Reviewed full source context: Brad, did you like this episode? I did like this episode. Like I have stated before, it is actually one of my favorite episodes. And I like that it's a slow build to what we're eventually going to get into a three episode arc. I thought the acting was good. I thought there was enough jokes. I do like Anna Gosteyer. And I've done a really good job saying her name today. It actually is in my top three of episodes. I know I don't usually rank episodes, but this is my number three behind the Christmas episode a couple episodes ago. What are you ranking out of ten? Out of ten. So I thought you were just doing all of our stuff. No, no. Those are my top three. And my number one is the Horty Metcalf episode is my number one. But overall, I will give this score. I'm sure you guys are on the edge of your seat. I will give this A. A little bit more relaxed. It's an A minus. A. Punch it up one. I gotta say, talking through it, I wonder if I've ranked this too low. And I probably have. But I'm not changing it. I have to read what I wrote. So this one gets 12 out of 41. So this is wedged between Miss Right Now with Jennifer Tilly. I think I'd still rather watch that one. But it's much better than Fathers and Sons. Which also had a kind of similarly last minute sentimental moment at the end. But I think this one hits harder. And I do think it's funnier with Merti Plot. But I feel like we've had funnier and I feel like we've had more, not necessarily dark like this one is, but sentimental, which I enjoy. So I'm putting it kind of middle of the pack, but high in the middle of the pack. All about a 41. There's 264 episodes. I cannot wait for a couple years when Curtis is like, I'm putting this 132 behind this one and that one. Can't wait for that. It's going to happen. Yes, I know. And by the way, Ryan, you've been bothered a few times when I've had like clusters where episodes seem to be ranking very similarly. I'm presuming that's going to happen less and less as I have more. Like if I have like five episodes a row that are like 221, that's when it's like, okay, you've given up. Yeah, no, it's just lazy ranking, Curt. We know you've got you've got about three numbers you're willing to give out right now. It's fine. Why don't you give me your lazy rank? This one's hard to rank, right? Because the whole time is just like this is a weird episode to watch from the upside down. And it's like the tension is and isn't there at the same time, like in a way that it wouldn't have been watching you through it. You know, we definitely get best Marty episode. Niles is interesting. It's definitely not his best. But knowing what we're doing, he makes like really adds the tension there. It's actually a pretty weak Frasier episode. It's Anna Gasteyer's best episode, but she's not Agnes. So that's a knock against her. I like all the premises. I do. I don't think it's like it's definitely not in my top three or whatever you're doing, Brad. But like, it's it's funny. It's there's there's not there's no problems. There's no glaring weaknesses to it. Just knowing that we're setting up for like the weirdest punch you could do with this storyline helps the hacky bits a lot. Because there is a lot where I would in a normal episode, if they just if they just cut this at the end and just didn't have a real problem, then I don't like what Niles is doing. But because they're setting up for a serious thing, it helps a lot. I'm giving it 8.2. That had to be your longest ramble of the season. It's a hard one to figure out.

Dark and gloomy as his odds are, what statistic would we like to beat? Each of us will go around and describe our lucky lottery. Brian, we're going to start with you. Then I will go. Then Brad, I'm going to snake. Great. So excited. There's an unlikely event that is going to befall us. And it cannot be actual lottery money that is off the table. But what would you like it to be? Don't need money to be on the table. I just want to be a panelist on Final Table Season 2. Ooh. And what is that show? So Final Table was the best cooking show of all time. It was on Netflix. It showed up. It changed the game. It was incredible. And then we never saw it again for reasons no one can explain. Well, there is one reason. And I said it was on Netflix. Netflix. I don't think it's not canceled. It's still in limbo. It's driving me crazy. Netflix. I will buy it as soon as you as you re-up on Season 2. But for me, I also when they re-up, I also want to be asked to be the guest panelist for America. Super excited for a lot of reasons. Okay. And for me, I want to receive fan mail. Okay. Okay. All right. We're playing in the real world here, buddy. Yeah. Not social media engagement or emails. I want somebody to send me actual, a physical letter, maybe some artwork they made of the podcast. And since we've never given any indication or disclosed how to reach us, it seems incredibly unlikely. But that's the odds I'm trying to beat. Is this just to see if your mailbox works? Because no one sends mail? Hurtful, but true. Even the government's kind of given up on that, right? They're like, whatever, we'll text you. But ads for political people and ads for political erections are at all time high. And then there's those coupon pamphlets that I don't think even work. They're like, these are real. Come to the grocery store. It's like, I've never heard of this grocery store. Get out of here. I went a similar route to Ryan, also with the selfish route. I decided that I would love to be- I'm sorry, wait. I'm sorry. First of all, how is this a question that isn't about being selfish? And second of all, how is getting Final Table Season 2 selfish? That would help everyone. Well, because Curtis keeps writing the question of how he's going to help us. He keeps saying, wait. I can do something to make of this for reasons unknown, but we're going to vote on which one we're going to all agree to. We're going to tell Lady Luck to give us one of these. So I think you guys will agree with mine. Thank you for telling me that because it helps my case even more. It's for me to be The Bachelor and have 20 women competing for my attention. Could you imagine doing The Bachelor with an uggo? Oh, it'd be so fun. I don't understand the comment on that one, but sure. You mean there'd be one ugly girl fighting for my attention? Is that what you're trying to say? That's the one you'd go for, too. Brad, I also want you to tell us how you would go about enjoying your bounty. About enjoying my bounty? Yes. Oh, that's so easy. I wouldn't have to do anything. And I would have 20 girls fighting over me. All I would need is some popcorn to watch and some lip gloss. Have you seen The Bachelor? Just to watch them fight over me and be able to take them on fun dates. There you go. Now you're getting closer to what the show actually is. Curtis, have you seen The Bachelor? I've seen an episode, yes. But the fact that I get 20 women that all I have to do is talk about myself, that's my dream talking about myself. Like, this is a dream coach and they have to listen to me? This is everything I always wanted in life. I mean, it shouldn't happen, but it would be captivating television. It really fits everything that I would. So, yes. So, this was an easy one for me. It's really, really funny that all three of us picked something sort of vaguely in the realm of being famous. But you both picked, I want to be on a TV show. And I picked, I want somebody to listen to my podcast. I guess you're next, right? Because we're speaking to it. How would you expand on your bounty or whatever your question is? Like your bounty or enjoy your bounty. How would you like your bounty? When I receive the fan artwork, I would appreciate it. Then file it away, never to be lost, but also never to be admired again. Oh, yeah. Yeah, a lot of stuff in the house over there. Can't throw it out, but, you know, never going to look at it. Ryan, how would you enjoy your bounty? Oh, my God. I would totally make amends for season one. So, like, I'm an American through and through, but France and Spain got fucking robbed in season one. They need a fair shake, a fair trial. Our guy should have got, like, top five, but he shouldn't have won. This is crazy. So, I would correct history. Prepare whatever damage they've done. How do you do that as one of the panelist judges? I would make sure they didn't get voted out for that one round. And then I would have influence on the fucking British lady who's the one who did them dirty. She eliminated France because she was like, ooh, this food has too much flavor. I was like, why are you a judge? What the fuck? Would it surprise you to learn I have British roots? I was going to say, she really appealed to your sensibilities. She's like, yes, this delicious, flavorful, spicy dish is really good. But, I mean, America made a turkey sandwich, so. I swear to God, she said something very similar to that. She's like, there is a lot of flavor. It's just too much for me. And you're like, what the fuck? Because we know that Lady Luck doesn't always smile. Sometimes she frams. So, what is the unlikely event that you actually fear is going to damn us? I am pretty confident on this, Curt. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get that one in 10 million odds that I'm going to become the president. You have the vote. Yeah. After 2016, you're like, it really can't happen to any of us. I think it's going to be foisted upon me. You're going to really experience that political arrest. Well, they're going to look back at the tape and be like, oh my God, he was politically erect in public so many times. We have to arrest him right now. I'll be like, I'm president. So, like, you can't yet. But, you know. I wasn't going to go the other way. I thought that was going to be how you wound up in the White House. Curtis, what's yours? I'm very intrigued. I'm very intrigued by yours. I can't wait to hear it, actually. I'm going to be sold on my sandwich. My unlikely fear is that Apple and Spotify are going to take our show down for copyright infringement. And I think this is going to happen because somebody is going to actually listen to the show. They're going to stumble upon it. That, you know, somebody we don't already know will listen. And they're just going to report it immediately. This is your big fear? Yeah. Well, you know, I know I'm not going to be president. So I don't have to worry about that. Yeah. It's because I'm going to get it. It's going to be tough. I'm voting for you, buddy. I'll go next mostly because it's my turn. And what I hate about this, I'll say this beforehand, is my big fear is one of Ryan's dreams. And that is that the Ravens continue to do really well in the regular season. Hard playoffs for like 10 years in a row. And I have to deal with this crap of us just being disappointed in the playoffs year after year after year. Yeah. One of my fears is that you guys might get a quarterback. But thankfully, I have to worry about that. Wait, wait. This is an invalid answer, Brad. This is not a fear. This is a thing that's going to happen because you chose it last. Oh, well, well, you're not split. Well, yeah, well. It's certainly a thing that has happened for years on end. Correct. I feel like Brad there thought I was making a comment on sports instead of what I was actually doing, which was commenting on this podcast. You're not wrong. You're not wrong. Why don't you tell us how are you going to mitigate that damage? What are you going to do to try to limit the damage of that outcome? Never watch sports again. I thought you were going to say we're just Seattle. Become a Seattle Ravens fan. You could be a Seattle Superchargers fan. Oh. I will mitigate that by this is the answer Curtis would give is realizing that sports are not the whole world and that I would be okay because there's more important things in life than your football team winning a championship. Brad, our answers are supposed to be realistic. So try again. For the record, that is not in the rule book anywhere of games. In fact, if anything, it's supposed to be things that are unlikely. Curtis, I read the subtext. It's supposed to be things that can really happen. Mr. Sheck, what would you say? One of the things Niles did to solve his problem was he went to a doctor. He confirmed the issue. Big mistake. I'm a huge advocate for burying your head in the sand. No news, script news. I'm just going to ignore all the podcast metrics and I'm not going to get any notifications. And, you know, problem solved. I honestly thought you were going to go to a heart doctor and be like, is my fears about my podcast valid? Is this referred pain? Yes. No, yeah, your podcast will be fine, but your heart is fucked. Well, any listener to the podcast knows my heart is fucked. Ryan, finally, you? I'm going to move the Baltimore Ravens to Seattle. Suck it, Bradley. So how is that going to mitigate the damage of your fear of being president? Is that a thing the president can do? Oh, yeah. I'll just use executive privilege. And that's going to be really my first to act. And probably my last because I'm not going to like peddle paperwork or whatever he does. Pretty sure Ryan forgot his own thing. He just went to make fun of me. I'm the president. I'm going to order that the Ravens move. Problem solved. It's going to make me. It's like I mitigate my fear. Like it's going to happen. I'm just going to feel better once it happens. Right. What is it? Am I supposed to be mitigating the fear? I'm sorry. Am I supposed to be dealing with the problem? Mitigating the fear. I just continue to not vote. I'm still voting for you. I write it in every year. Damn it. It's gaining traction. I checked last year. I got three votes. I mean, I'm telling everybody I know. Yeah, it's those are the three. Wipe me through this podcast. I'm telling everyone I know. Of the three options we've got, become president. That's the bad one. Or go and be a panelist judge on the finalist. What was it called? The final table season two, Curt. Final table season two. Or you could be trapped. What do you think the finalist would be about? They don't have any of the early rounds. They just skip right to the last episode. That'd be exciting. You don't know how they got here. But these two are about to go for it all. So yeah, you can risk being president for the hope of being a panelist on the final table season two. Yeah. You can hope for fan art in exchange for the risk of being shut down entirely. Or you can send Brad to The Bachelor in exchange for the risk that you will have the sports. I don't remember what his was. Oh, that you would just be bad. It's bad in the playoffs for a long time. Correct. Ryan, we're still snaking. So you have to vote on which one you would choose. You cannot choose your own. What am I choosing? I'm sorry. What's the criteria? Oh, my goodness. I know. Am I trying to? No, I know what the answers are. All right. We're doing this. I'm changing it up. We're going to do it all at the same time. All three of us at the same time are going to say our answer. You're going to say Brad. You're going to say Ryan. Or you're going to say Curtis. Am I saying which thing I would risk to get the reward the most? You're saying. Oh, boy. Or am I saying which thing's the fucking worst? We are going to. Is it answering this question? Is it? I mean, we are going to contact Lady Luck. We're going to send her our wish list. And she is going to weigh the pros and cons and give us one of these. So Lady Luck is in charge. But we are going to make a recommendation to her. So we have to choose one of these three scenarios to be a recommendation. So on the count of three. Am I trying to doom one of you two? Or am I getting the prize that you two picked? No, no, no. No. So if we vote on Ryan, that means Ryan is going to be a panelist. If we vote on Brad, it means Brad's going to The Bachelor. And if we vote on Curtis, it means that Curtis gets one piece of fan art. So on the count of three. Wait, are we doing just the good parts versus the bad parts? Oh, my God. It's the whole thing. It's confusing. It's confusing. It's confusing. You get the good with the bad. I don't even know what we're voting. Is it like which one's the most? Which is your favorite thing to vote for? Just pick one. Not yourself. One, two, three. Brad. I'm so not sure what I'm voting for. I win. I'm the champion. That's all that matters. Did Dad win? I don't know. I won. It really fits everything that I would. So, yes. So, this was an easy one for me. It's really, really funny that all three of us picked something sort of vaguely in the realm of being famous. But you both picked, I want to be on a TV show. And I picked, I want somebody to listen to my podcast.

Reviewed full source context: Of the three options we've got, become president. Competition adjudication competition established: False Reviewed full source context: And now, Ryan, why don't you tell us what we can expect to make total sense next week on the previous episode of Season 10, Episode 6, Star Mitzvah? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Freddy shows up to Seattle to have his bar mitzvah. Oh, so actually, so sorry. I did go to write this and then thought, I don't know what to write. Real talk. I don't know which city we're going to be in for this. That's fair. I think it's a real 50-50 that the whole gang heads to Boston or they just do it in Seattle and just explain it with some horrible premise. Like, I have no idea. The synagogues in Boston are booked. Yeah, like, super stupid. Like, you have to assume it's going to be in Boston. It'd be crazy to do it in Seattle, but, like, lazy and, you know, we're not going to change sets for one episode. It's probably in Seattle. I'm confident it will be set explicitly in Boston, but they're going to just use the coffee shop set. I don't know. I don't think that. I don't think that'll happen. Unless you're talking about the, like, one of the three offshoot coffee shop sets we saw. Maybe that, but. It could be in the furniture store. Maybe. I miss it in the furniture store. I'd go to that. I would go to that. I'd be seating. Brad, you're a bar mitzvah guy. Would you do a bar mitzvah in a furniture store? I'm sure that, yes. For the next episode, I'll share some stories of the weirdest places I had. I went to for bar mitzvahs. There's a lot. Spoiler alert. I think in one year I went to over 60 bar mitzvahs, maybe more. So I have lots of fun stories. Zero? Yeah. I went to so many. I had four in one weekend one time. How was that even possible? We could go over all those logistics in our next episode. I do want to know. Were these the kids in your class or were these, like, as an adult? No, no, no. I haven't gone to bar mitzvah. I stopped going. Oh, fucking annoying. But I had so many Jews in my class and stuff. There's so many.

Three versions of Brad’s introduction ↗
Brad introduces silly Brad, is asked for a second take, then offers serious Brad. The others question how different that sounds. Asked for one more, he becomes an older, down-on-his-luck superhero who can still save the day. The reactions compare the performance to familiar superhero styles and a gritty children’s-show remake. Ryan requests both the second take and the later one-more introduction. These are three performed versions with feedback, not a scored contest.

Two powder-room alerts and their reactions ↗
The first alert responds to the Swiffer being put in the powder room. A call announces the alert and a short reply follows; the group discusses the speaker’s excitement and hints at another scene. Later, another prompt asks how to handle the new opportunity, followed by a second alert and reply. The hosts celebrate a scene centered on the powder room and Marty’s embarrassment. The prediction machine targets Brad’s city-name joke ↗
After an attempted sign-off, Ryan introduces the bonus prediction about Brad’s childhood request to rename Baltimore to butt-imore, with that exact contrast confirmed by the owner. Ryan also asks what the prediction machine has for them. The follow-up plays with the pronunciation and spelling. The supposed filing remains the premise of a joke, not a verified real request.

Actors play the hosts
Brad proposes actors to play the hosts: John Goodman for Ryan, Jim Parsons for Curtis and an awkward Silicon Valley actor, transcribed Thomas Middleich, for himself. The owner confirms both Brad as proposer and Ryan as the intended Goodman role. The subsequent actor comments remain participant banter.
